At Southwest we have adopted a simple baseball diamond model which helps you see where you are and where you need to go. We believe that this model helps us focus on the purposes of the church and provides you with a clear-cut path for spiritual growth and development. In order to help you complete each of these "bases," we offer monthly classes which focus on God's plan for your life. Each class is offered the 3rd Sunday of most months at 4:00 pm. This is the first class offered in the class series. It deals with how to become a member of Christ's church. Membership 101 will answer such questions as: What is the purpose of this church? How do I accept Christ as my Savior? How do I know if I'm saved? What is the meaning of baptism? What is the Lord's Supper? What does this church believe? What can I expect from you? This class deals with how to grow in your faith. As someone once said, "Christ loves you just the way you are, but he loves you too much to leave you there!" Maturity 201 will reveal what it means to be a disciple of Christ and why your spiritual growth is not an option. This class will develop the next step in your growth--serving in a ministry. At Southwest we believe that God calls every member to ministry and we want you to find your place! In Ministry 301 we will help you discover your ministry by looking at the special gifts, talents, and abilities that God has given you. The next class will be June 22nd.
