MINISTERS

Jimmy Adcox, Preaching
Jimmy has served as the preaching minister at Southwest since 1977. He holds a M.A.R. and M.Th. from Harding Graduate School of Religion and recently completed his D.Min. from Abilene Christian University. Jimmy also serves as the team leader for the ministry staff.

Winston Burton, Classic Seniors
Winston has served churches across the south during his 50+ years of ministry. He came to Southwest in 1992 as the senior adults' minister and holds an M.A.R. from Harding Graduate School of Religion. In addition to his work with the seniors, Winston also does pastoral counseling.

Chris Harrell, Associate
After nine years in youth ministry, Chris transitioned to Associate Minister in September of 2008.  He is currently working towards completing his Masters degree in New Testament studies and is responsible for administration, collaborating with ministry leaders, and the LifeGroup ministry at Southwest.

Abbey Jackson, Youth
Since June of 2007, Abbey has served on the Youth Ministry Team with an emphasis in ministry to teenage girls. She is originally from Oklahoma and still supports her Oklahoma Sooners no matter where she is!  Abbey has a passion for this generation.  She wants to see the teenagers, their families, and this church grow closer to our redemptive God every single day.  Having been on 5 continents, Abbey loves to travel—her favorite place being Ghana, Africa.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Christian University and is currently pursuing an Urban Youth Ministry Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Joe Carr, Youth
Joe joined the Southwest Ministry Team in December 2008 with an emphasis in ministry to teenage boys. He and his wife Lauryn have been happily married since January 2004. Joe graduated from Lipscomb University in 2001 with a degree in Bible and Youth Ministry and has worked in youth ministry since then at churches in Atlanta, GA and Melbourne, FL. Joe is currently working towards a Master's in Ministry through the Graduate School of Theology at Abilene Christian University.

Travis Eades, Worship
Travis became a part of the Southwest Ministry Team May 5, 2002. He is our primary Worship Leader and Coordinator.

Joyce Woodham, Children's Ministry
Joyce volunteered and is serving as our Children's Minister.

SUPPORT STAFF

Dana Moore
Dana joined the office staff in May of 2001 as an administrative assistant to Jimmy Adcox and is the church Bookkeeper.

Ranae Walton
Ranae joined the office staff in January of 2002. Her duties include Membership Ministry Assistant, receptionist, and general office tasks.

Mealeta Fuchs, Better Life Center
Mealeta joined the custodial staff in 1994. She now serves as the volunteer coordinator for the Better Life Center.
