Sex From God's Point of View

God desires us to have everything we are reclaimed for His use. Sexual expression has been distorted by our culture and needs to reclaimed to bring what God designed it to be--viewing others relationally with purity, therefore not lusting after others for our own use. As we become more transformed by God, our view of sex changes to come closer to His created way. When separated from what God made sex for, both our body and soul are far less than He made us for. Sex outside of marriage dishonors marriage, and violates our oneness with Christ. Thessalonians 4.5, Matthew 5.27-28, 1 Timothy 5, and 1 Corinthians 6.9-11 are consulted for this study. |

Sex as God Intended

Our culture has pressured us to consider sexual expression apart from the relational part of being a godly sexual being, thus reducing sexuality to pure performance of a physical act. This produces far more sexual freedom with less sexual satisfaction. God created sexuality for man and woman, and it was present prior to the fall and can be restored to a safe, open, wholly known, and wholly loved intimacy. Our sexual behavior and life is yet another place where Jesus can restore life as it was meant to be. Genesis 1.27-28 is consulted for this study. |
