We welcome Chad and Cheryl Odell and their children Cody (12), Colton (8), Chloe (4), and
The Odells have
been members at Beedeville. Welcome to
Southwest!
Our new
schedule starts this Sunday. Bible Class at 9:00 and Worship at 10:00. We
are aware that we could have some pretty good crowds the next three weeks. This Sunday we will recognize our 6th graders
who are graduating into our Youth Ministry, the next Sunday will be Senior
Sunday, and then May 11 will be Mother's Day. We intentionally planned to go to one service
on these busy Sundays to give us an opportunity to manage our crowds and help
us prepare to grow as large as possible in one service. There is nothing we would like better than to
completely outgrow one service and be forced to find other solutions. In the mean time, on those big Sundays, let's
all do everything we can to welcome others, help them find a seat, make room
for others where we sit, and enjoy the fun and energy of worshipping together
with one voice. It will be exciting to
be together!
Our "Join the Journey" series is underway. This would be a great time to invite people
to come and be our guest. Be thinking
especially of people who do not hav a church home. Let's reach out to new people, offer them our
friendship, and be great hosts who help them find their place and get
connected. God is giving us a great
opportunity to reach new people. Let's
be his instruments to reach out to the people he brings to us!
The Bloodmobile will be at Southwest on Sunday, May 4. Note the times elsewhere in this bulletin and
commit to give blood. This is great
opportunity to help save lives through a very simple act - and a great way to
serve our neighbors and community.
Don't forget our Summer Missions needs.
We are still a few thousand dollars short of our $30,000 goal. Put your gifts in an envelope marked
"Summer Missions" or send your your check clearly marked to the
church office.
