Please mark your calenders for the first annual "Southwest Family Christmas" on
Sunday, December the 16th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Better Life Center Gym.
Talented Southwest members will be highlighted during the evening,
while great
holiday treats are enjoyed.
This event is being hosted by our summer mission
teams
to raise fund for their work around the world.

As if your Christmas Holiday Season isn’t busy
enough, we want you to mark your calendars for one more event - Our 3rd
Annual Christmas Family Service Night.
Everyone will meet at the
building at 6:30 pm for a time
of worship and commission to get out and serve Jonesboro. This period
of worship will be brief – about 15 – 20 minutes. At approximately 6:50 pm we will all leave the building to go participate in
our service projects that we have signed up for.
Listed below are the
service projects that your family or life-group may participate in. Please sign up by Sunday December 16th
by calling Joe James (926-3329 – please leave message).
Christmas Caroling with our Neighbors at Country Garden
Apartments – Travis Eades and Joe James will
lead this trip up the street to sing Christmas Songs and enjoy cookies and hot
chocolate. We hope to have a 100 people
from Southwest.
Delivering Food & Visiting our Shut-ins. – Call Reba Lee (219-2552 / 935-5337) to be assigned a
shut-in.
Christmas Project for Seniors – Our Seniors will stay at the Building to work together on a Christmas
Project. Call Reba Lee or Winston Burton
for more information.
Christmas Caroling at Southwind Nursing Home – This is a great project for a couple of
Life-Groups. Call Joe James to sign up –
926-3329.
Visiting the Waiting Rooms at St. Bernards – Take Cookies and Drinks to the Waiting Rooms at St.
Bernard’s hospital. Perhaps you can pray
with people and bring some Holiday Joy
to an otherwise stressful and painful time!
